Bioli partners with The National Gallery of Denmark (SMK)

Copenhagen, June 12, 2025 — Bioli, the Danish biotech skincare brand launched earlier this year, is pleased to announce a new retail partnership with The National Gallery of Denmark (SMK). Available now, Bioli’s Moisturizing and Protecting Day Cream is featured at the SMK Shop.

The partnership coincides with the museum’s busy summer season and aligns with SMK’s commitment to accelerating the green transition (grøn omstilling). The Moisturizing and Protecting Day Cream—a unisex, bioactive, and biodegradable product—is featured alongside an in-store display showing the home-compostable packaging and how it fully decomposes.

“Bioli is a Danish brand that aligns closely with our green transition goals—from reducing material waste to raising awareness around climate-conscious alternatives,” says Sune Engsbro fra SMK Shop, Communications and Partnerships.

“We see it as a meaningful addition to our selection—both as a thoughtful gift and a high quality daily-use product.”

Bioli was founded to address the increasing prevalence of sensitive skin and the environmental impact of the skincare industry—through milder, more effective, and sustainable solutions. Moisturizing and Protecting Day Cream contains biotech-derived enzymes and other ingredients with a mild yet targeted effect, shown to reduce irritation, while significantly lowering water and CO₂ usage compared to conventional actives. The jar is made from fermented microorganisms and decomposes in home compost within 52 weeks, leaving no trace behind. The outer packaging is a minimal FSC-certified paper bag, and the product is AllergyCertified, carries the A-kolbe, and is dermatologically approved for sensitive skin.

"The National Gallery of Denmark is a place that truly inspires us, and we’re very proud to have formed this special partnership. The SMK Shop offers a wonderful selection of carefully curated products, and often a good day at the museum starts or ends right there. So we are very delighted that Bioli is now available in the shop—and that they also showcase our biodegradable packaging, giving visitors a real sense of the thoughtfulness behind our product,” says Nina Wiberg Rosenquist, CEO of Bioli.

The product is also available at Leah Maria, a luxury concept store on Jægersborg Allé, and via the brand’s webshop at bioliskincare.com. Additional Bioli products will launch later in 2025—all developed with same focus on skin health and environmental responsibility.
