About Bioli

Bioli®, short for “biologically,” is a Danish biotech skincare and research company. We create lab-made, science-based everyday skincare consciously developed through biotechnology, including bioactive enzyme technology and other biotech ingredients with targeted efficacy, silky-soft textures, and packaging made from fermented microorganisms that biodegrade without a trace. All developed and manufactured in Denmark.

No petrochemicals. No microplastics. No glass. Limited extraction from nature. No skin irritations. Just mild yet effective skincare, developed with consideration for both skin and the environment – for better skin and planetary health. Of course all products are unisex, fragrance-free, dermatologically approved for sensitive skin and allergy-certified too.

Founded in 2021, Bioli was born out of a passion for sustainability, years of experience at one of the world’s largest biotech companies, and a personal journey with sensitive skin. We believe in science over assumptions. In data over emotions. Bioli is the result of years of dedicated research and development, funded by Innovation Fund Denmark, working alongside leading experts and collaborating with scientific researchers at one of Denmark’s leading universities–backed by science, rigorous testing, and life cycle analysis.

Imagine skincare grown in a laboratory using living microorganisms such as yeast, bacteria, and fungi. That is biotech skincare.

Bioli is biotech skincare – an alternative to both natural and conventional synthetic skincare. Unlike many natural ingredients, which can vary in composition depending on source and season, and conventional synthetic ingredients, which can rely on fossil feedstocks and extensive chemical processing, biotechnology enables us to develop carefully selected ingredients with:

– High purity, consistency and stability, supporting reliable performance
– Targeted functionality, enabling high efficacy with a gentle profile, particularly suitable for sensitive skin
– Lower resource use, with reduced reliance on agricultural land, water, energy and fossil resources*

Even our packaging – bottles and jars – is developed using microorganisms through biotechnology and is 100% biodegradable. The result is skincare that is mild yet effective – developed with consideration for both skin and the environment.
