Normalmente enviamos as nossas encomendas em sacos de papel com certificação FSC, mas neste caso incluiremos uma caixa exterior para uma experiência Bioli completa. Enquanto houver stock.
All Bioli packaging – jars, bottles and droppers – is made through fermentation using microorganisms and is biodegradable and OK compost HOME-certified.
This means that after use, you can place your empty jar or bottle in your home compost, where it biodegrades without leaving microplastics behind.
If home composting is not available, the packaging can be disposed of as residual waste and sent for incineration. It is made from plant-based carbon rather than fossil-based plastic, so when incinerated, it releases carbon that is already part of the natural carbon cycle rather than fossil carbon. Compared with glass, it also does not require melting at very high temperatures to be recycled.
The packaging is not yet accepted as bio-waste. If it does end up there and in landfill, it will still biodegrade naturally and return to nature’s cycle – unlike conventional plastics, which can remain in the environment for hundreds of years.
